JCAR can suspend Governor’s emergency rules Wednesday

The new emergency rules Governor Pritzker put in place on Friday that could lead to the jailing of business owners who choose to reopen their business early can be stopped Wednesday by the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR), but it takes a supermajority vote to get that done.

You can let commission members know that you don’t want to see local barbers and shop owners prosecuted for reopening by emailing your comments to jcar@ilga.gov.
